Head Coaches

Paul Atkins

Paul is a passionate cricket coach who has 20 years coaching experience behind him. As a player, he represented Surrey County Cricket Club, England Young Cricketers and Northerns. At present he plays for Tring CC in the United Kingdom and captains Buckinghamshire. On the coaching front, Paul is an ECB Level 3 Coach, an Andrew Flintoff Academy coach, and was the MCC U17 Indian Tour Head Coach. During the English summer Paul coaches at various schools in the UK .

Garry Hampson

Garry has 14 years of coaching experience to his name and has worked as the cricket professional for Cornwall Hill College, as the PHSOB CC head coach and is currently player coach of the Maritzburg Varsity CC (UKZN Pietermaritzburg Campus). A CSA Level 3 coach Garry has represented the Nashua Titans, Northerns A and KZN Inland teams. At present he holds the Playing Affairs Managers position for KZN Inland who play in the 1st Class SAA Provincial competitions, from where he directs all coaching and playing affairs in the region.

The Coaches

Ross McMillan

The current KZN Inland Captain, Ross is a cricketer with a bright future. He has represented the Nashua Dolphins, SASSU XI and has attended the National Academy in in 2007. A real thinking cricketer he lead the KZN Inland XI very well this season taking them both with his captaincy and leading with the bat and ball, to the SAA Provincial 1 day semi final. The first time this team has achieved this. In the SA winter he plays for Kendall CC in the UK. An attacking top order batsmen and opening bowler Ross offers a lot as a coach to the young cricketer's he works with, both technically and mentally. Ross is a qualified Bakers Level 2 Coach and coaches extensively during his time in the U.K.

Morne Van Vuuren

Morne is a current Nashua Dolphins and KZN Inland player and has represented South Africa at the Hong Kong 6's. A talented left arm spinner and dynamic batsmen, Morne has played his trade both here in SA as well as for Tring CC as the over sea's professional in the UK. Morne plays his club for the all conquering Standard CC of which he was an integral part in their treble this past season (KZN Inland Premier League, MCA Premier League and the KFC 20/20). His work with young cricketer's is highly regarded especially in terms of his spin bowling coaching.

Oliver (Ollie) Humphries

Ollie is a player who is knocking on the door to the Nashua Dolphins. A right arm fast medium swing bowler and a stylishly aggressive middle order batsmen, his top performances over the last season earned him a deserved selection the USSA XI (previously SASSU XI) where he played against the touring British Universities and SA U19 teams. Ollie plays his club cricket for the Varsity CC (UKZN Pietermaritzburg Campus) and has been coaching with the team for 2 years now. Ollie is able to connect well with the young cricketers he works with and is a sort after coach. Ollie is qualifying as a level 2 coach this year.

Narvaar Harridave

Narvaar also plays his club cricket for the Varsity CC and his enormous work ethic and great club performances earned him selection to the KZN Inland XI this season. A medium pace swing bowler with the ability to 'banana' the ball Narvaar has been coaching with our team for a year and a half where he has made great strides as a coach. Narvaar is qualifying as a level 2 coach this year.

Prosper Tsvanhu

Prosper joins us from Zimbabwe where he has represented Mashonaland in the Zimbabwe 1st Class Competition. A talented left arm seam bowler and middle order batsman, prosper plays his cricket for the Varsity CC (UKZN Pietermaritzburg Campus) and has spent a month as a guest at the Australian National Academy. Prosper will qualify as a level 2 coach this year.
